South Carolina DAODAS/HUD Recovery Housing Program Fiscal Year 2024

South Carolina Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services
Abstract
For many individuals, achieving and maintaining recovery from a substance use disorder (SUD) is hindered by a lack of safe, affordable housing that is supportive of the recovery process. Recovery housing extends the continuum of care to provide support to individuals as they initiate, stabilize, and maintain long-term recovery in the community. Through the implementation of recovery housing rental assistance from RHP funds, DAODAS will seek to address this gap and provide for greater access across all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic populations in the state.
