Radon mitigation
Radon is a gas that may cause cancer and yet cannot be seen, smelled, or tasted. It gets into your home through cracks and holes in the foundation, construction joints, and plumbing fixtures. The only way to know if you have a radon problem is to test your home. DHEC provides home test kits that are free and easy to use. Most homes with radon problems can be fixed for about the cost as other common home repairs. The cost of installing radon reduction methods depends on several factors including how your home was built.
