Commission on Higher Education
The South Carolina Commission on Higher Education was founded in 1967 and is the coordinating board for South Carolina's 33 higher education institutions. The Commission for Higher Education is a local advocate for higher education and also serves as the General Assembly's oversight arm for higher education.
