South Carolina’s human trafficking law, S.C. Code Ann. §§ 16-3-2010 et seq. (2012) became effective on December 15, 2012. The law mandated in § 16-3-2050 for an interagency task force to be established to develop and implement a state plan regarding trafficking in persons in South Carolina. The Attorney General is the chair of the task force, and numerous other agencies were required to participate
