SC Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC) charter

Abstract

This charter of the Homeland Security Advisory Council is set up to provide South Carolina a comprehensive, integrated homeland security capability that prevents, protects from, responds to and aids in the recovery from terrorist activities or other events. To accomplish this, the State is developing capabilities to include local, regional, and State response teams and assets that are well organized, fully equipped, superbly trained, and jointly employed to ensure the protection and safety of all residents. The HSAC is established to support and advise the State Homeland Security Advisor and State Administrative Agency to accomplish the goal and vision.
