The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division Forensic Services Laboratory Evidence Submission Manual has been developed to provide the criminal justice community with information concerning procedures for the collection, preservation, and submission of physical evidence. These guidelines are set forth to maximize analytical results and to encourage the optimal use of the services offered. Laboratory staff, working in conjunction with the investigating officer, determines specific capabilities and services that are applied to a case based on the totality of the circumstances
