Abstract
This project examines how the State of South Carolina must join forces with local financial institutions to support a home replacement program that can provide the necessary support for low-income and/or disabled elderly people who are our most vulnerable population. This can be done by offering a more accessible and age-friendly living environment. This can include features such as grab bars, ramps, and wider doorways to address mobility challenges. Additionally, such programs incorporate safety measures and healthcare services to promote independence and overall well-being for older individuals.
