Abstract
Army Directive 2024-07 (Handling Protest, Extremist, and Criminal Gang Activities) was released with immediate effect on 14 June, 2024 by the Secretary of the Army. This new directive requires commanders to train troops on recognizing and avoiding extremist activities, address these activities in their units, and report incidents to the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General.
