Abstract
The project site is located on Interstate 95 (I-95) over Lake Marion on the border of Clarendon County and Orangeburg County in South Carolina. The project consists of demolishing the existing I-95 Northbound and Southbound bridges and replacing them with a single structure that accommodates both travel directions. Both the main span bridges and overflow bridges are designated for replacement. The new bridges will provide an additional future travel lane in each direction compared to the existing bridges. The geotechnical subsurface investigation(s) was performed in general accordance with the 2022 SCDOT Geotechnical Design Manual.
