Abstract
As part of the General Appropriations Act of Fiscal Year 2022-23, the General Assembly continued to work with the State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education and the public institutes of higher learning to develop policies that guarantee students who have earned an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree from a public two-year institution of higher learning shall receive a minimum of sixty transfer credit hours at a public four-year college or university and shall be given a junior status at the college or university. This report details current efforts to improve the transfer experience for South Carolina students while supporting the CHE’s Ascend 60X30 strategy to increase higher education attainment in the state.
