Abstract
There are a variety of practices that can address
issues in an unhealthy stream. This manual focuses
on a set of practices designed to repair and stabilize
unhealthy stream banks. It is important to distinguish
between these stream bank repair practices and
stream restoration. Stream bank repair provides some of these benefits
with little or no regulatory permitting, low costs, and
limited training. Homeowners and property managers
can put these practices into action after receiving
minimal training or instructions.
