South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics
South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics
Abstract
The GSSM Catalog with Academic Policies is a resource for students, faculty, and staff to find information about how academics work at GSSM. It begins with a list by academic department of all the GSSM courses offered fall and spring semesters. Next comes a full course description for all GSSM courses by department. Use these course descriptions to understand what the range of options is for the courses you can take at GSSM. The descriptions also list the prerequisites for each course. Use them to plan what courses you need to take. Then comes a list of frequently asked questions about academics at GSSM. This FAQ is a great resource for understanding our curriculum and planning your courses. Finally, we have all GSSM’s academic policies and procedures, the information you need to succeed at GSSM and the academic rules you must follow. This section starts with the academic requirements you need to graduate, and explains everything from the role of your academic advisor to how Research & Inquiry work.
