Educating Users Online Improving the SCEIS Online Training Creation Process

Laughlin, Chrystal
South Carolina Certified Public Manager Program
Abstract
The South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS) training team is responsible for educating the 40,000 plus state employees on the many SCEIS processes. To accomplish this, the SCEIS training team creates training materials in many formats for both instructor-led and online training. The project goals, to establish accurate deadlines by documenting the online course process and determining how long it takes our team to create an online course and to identify areas of improvement to reduce the time it takes to create a course, align with the overall goal of the Department of Administration’s (Admin) Talent Acquisition and Development Department of providing timely, interactive training and professional customer service.
