South Carolina Council on Human Relations

The South Carolina Council on Human Relations was organized in 1919 as the South Carolina Commission for Interracial Cooperation, organized under the auspices of the region-wide Commission on Interracial Cooperation. The South Carolina Committee became the South Carolina Division of the Southern Regional Council in 1944 and change its name again to the South Carolina Council on Human Relations in 1954. The Council dissolved in 1975.
