Coastal Perspective

Permanent URI for this collection

Coastal Perspective is a journal of the Marine Resources Division to be published twice annually. It combines two formerly-published quarterly newsletters, Saltwater Conversation and Commercial Fishing News. Because many important coastal issues concern both commercial and recreational fishermen, this combined publication will contain articles of interest to both groups as well as to other coastal residents and visitors. Habitat alteration, water quality degradation and more specific issues such as shrimp baiting, the closure of the bays and sounds to shrimp trawling, turtle excluder devices {TEDs), gear restrictions and size and catch limits affect all users of coastal resources. Coastal Perspective examines these and many other issues, and their impact on fishermen and the general public.
