The proposed rate increase is driven by (i) price inflation since Santee Cooper’s last rate study and (ii) the need for strategic investment in Santee Cooper’s electric system. During August-September 2024, Santee Cooper held a series of meetings throughout its service territory to receive comments on the proposed rates.
