Delineating what the state’s children should know and be able to do in these content areas, the seven documents are intended to be used not only as the basis for curricula, instruction, and assessment in the arts disciplines in South Carolina schools but also as a concise statement about expectations for learning in the arts for policy makers, education administrators, teachers, and instructional and community leaders.
