Results from the screening help identify risks for hypertension (high blood pressure), hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol) and coronary artery disease. The preventive screening rate for PEBA members was 12.9% in 2023. This contrasts sharply with the percentage of these members who have been diagnosed with a chronic condition (40.8%). The purpose of this project is to understand what barriers exist to employers who have screening rates under the average and make suggestions on how to boost these screening rates.Records, documents, and information made available by the agencies of the South Carolina state government or its subdivisions are made accessible through the South Carolina State Library Depository and are protected under U.S. Copyright law (Title 17, U.S.C.) and South Carolina state law (Title 30 and 60, S.C.C.L.).
