The data is based on the Uniform Crime Report. Attention is given to the proportion of juvenile population which has been apprehended as reported by the UCR, the various offenses with which juveniles were charged during 1977, and the disposition of those taken into custody as made by the individual law enforcement agencies. Each county has been briefly analyzed individually with a summary sheet and tables provided for specific county scrutiny, detailing those characteristics examined.
