Abstract
Description
South Carolina ranks fifteenth in the nation in terms of its minority population. However, South Carolina ranks third in the nation in terms of its African American population at 29.9 percent. This report provides statistical information on South Carolina’s 46 counties. Information is presented by race and sex. The fact sheets address the status of poverty, income, single parent families, educational attainment, child birth rates, drug use, the criminal justice system, and unemployment.
