Abstract
This study reports on data recovery excavations at archaeological site 38CH123, a large plantation complex that dates from the earliest period of historic occupation on Kiawah Island through the early twentieth century. These excavations focused on portions of the settlement that represented the early eighteenth through mid-nineteenth century.
