Abstract
This report summarizes prevention outcomes generated by the South Carolina county authority substance abuse prevention system. Much of the report focuses on prevention outcomes generated through pre- and post-testing of middle and high school youth who participated in prevention programs. The report also includes data related to county alcohol and tobacco environmental strategies (e.g., compliance checks, bar checks, and merchant education), the Youth Access to Tobacco Study (Synar), and the distribution of prevention services.
