Abstract
This study discusses archaeological testing conducted at six archaeological sites on Hilton Head Island, Beaufort County, South Carolina in January 1988 for the Town of Hilton Head Island and the S.C. Department of Archives and History as part of a National Park Service Historic Preservation Grant. This testing was intended to assist in determination of site significance and was directed toward delimiting site boundaries, determining site depths, and documenting site integrity.
