Abstract
The current study focused on an assessment of Clemson University as a workplace as experienced by black staff. A mail survey was conducted during late Winter, 2005. Most (86.0%) of the respondents agreed or strongly agreed that Clemson is a good place to work. Over half (62.4%) of the respondents agreed or strongly agreed that they feel that they can succeed at Clemson. Two-thirds of the respondents reported that they feel welcome at Clemson. Recommendations are suggested for improving the workplace climate for minority staff at Clemson.
