Abstract
This brochure shows what is legal and not legal to burn in South Carolina. Burning trash, dead animals, and other materials is illegal in South Carolina. State law requires that you notify the S.C. Forestry Commission before you burn certain vegetative materials. There are some clean, easy ways to get rid of garbage such as mulching or recycling.
