Description
This report documents the impact of cultural activities on South Carolina. In both 2000 and 2001, the arts in South Carolina, on average, directly and indirectly supported about $700 million in wages and salaries annually, 30,000 jobs, and $1.9 billion in economic output. The cultural industry encompasses three major activities (Heritage and culture, performance and exhibition and individual artist) each examined in this report.
