    Child sexual abuse cases pose challenges to the systems charged with the investigation and prosecution of these cases. In 1985 a new way to approach child sexual abuse cases developed in Huntsville, Alabama – the Child Advocacy Center. The first CAC in South Carolina started in 1989. This paper examines the use of child advocacy centers in South Carolina.
