The South Carolina Film Commission is a division of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism is responsible for the recruitment and economic development of the motion picture industry within the state. It attracts new film and television projects to South Carolina by promoting the state’s film incentive program, provides assistance with site location, equipment, crew, and other logistics for existing production projects, awards Production Fund Grants for student film projects, and conducts workshops to provide training for the state’s film industry.
