    Subject
Forest products industry--South Carolina; Exports--South Carolina
    Description
South Carolina’s forest products exports have increased by 12.8% in the last four years, from $1.18 billion in 2007 to $1.33 billion in 2010. However, due to the economic recession, the industry saw a decline of almost 11%, or $127 million, in exports from 2008 to 2009. Most of South Carolina forest products leave the state via vessels; but ground transportation has remained steady in recent years for wood products, paper/paperboard and pulp/paper machinery.
