South Carolina General Assembly, Joint Legislative Committee on Aging
    Subject
    Older people--Employment--South Carolina; Administrative agencies--South Carolina--Citizen participation; Independent regulatory commissions--South Carolina--Citizen participation
    Description
This is a guide to boards, commissions, and committees which affect the lives of all South Carolinians. Some affect older South Carolinians directly, such as the Commission on Aging and the S. C. Board for Barrier Free Design. Others affect older citizens indirectly as they relate to the environment in which citizens live and in the lives of their children and grandchildren. It points out opportunities for service with the belief that those services can be accomplished to a greater degree with the support of well-qualified seniors.
