State Document Lists

The Checklists of State Documents began in the State Archives and records the items sent to the agency from other state agencies and from the legislature. The State Library began publishing the Checklist in 1969.
When the State Library developed the State Documents Depository Program in 1982 it began distributing the Shipping Lists to the state documents depository libraries. These lists recorded the documents being distributed to the libraries and the documents received at the state library but not sent out. Later these lists also recorded the electronic documents saved at the State Library. In April 2014, the State Library started publishing a New South Carolina State Documents monthly publication with list of born-digital documents cataloged and added to the South Carolina State Documents Depository
