    The South Carolina State Department of Education and the South Carolina Education Oversight Committee staff will determine jointly a schedule for the development of new academic standards in accordance with the South Carolina law. The standards must be reflective of the highest level of academic skills with the rigor necessary to improve the curriculum and instruction in South Carolina’s schools.
