Santee Cooper works hard year-round to provide our customers with safe, reliable power. June 1 through November 30 is the Atlantic hurricane season. In preparation, we trim trees near power lines and conduct routine tests of our systems to make sure we’re ready. Safety is a priority at Santee Cooper and that includes our customers and communities. That’s why we remind customers of the steps to take to prepare before, during and after the storm season. We hope this guide will help you and your family stay safe during hurricane season and any other weather events that can impact our power system.
