The results of this project show that South Carolinians are concerned about their schools, the future of public school students, and hold high expectations for both. South Carolinians responded to questions concerning what skills students should possess upon graduation. These responses showed agreement on the fundamental importance of Reading, Math, and Writing, as well as a strong desire that young people exit public schools ready to be productive citizens.
