Charleston Naval Complex Redevelopment Authority / Naval Base Museum Authority
The Redevelopment Authority was established to acquire the former Charleston Naval Base Complex from the U.S. Navy and was empowered to create new jobs.
In 2014, the Redevelopment Authority was given the task of building a museum to house the H.L. Hunley Submarine and was empowered by the South Carolina Legislature as the newly formed Charleston Naval Base Museum Authority.
