In order to promote accountability and transparency in charitable fundraising, the Secretary of State publishes the Wise Giving Report of the Division of Public Charities. It remind members of the public to always check on charitable organizations that solicit donations from them, ask questions of the person or entity soliciting the donation, and notify the Secretary of State’s Office if they have any concerns or complaints about the solicitation.
