The purpose of the Formula Grant Program is to assist states and units of local government in carrying out specific programs which offer a high probability of improving the functioning of the juvenile justice system and to assist states and local communities to prevent youth from entering the juvenile justice system. This document provides new applicants and current subgrantees eligible to reapply with program criteria and eligibility information so that formal application proposals may be prepared.
