Each year the Education Oversight Committee writes a list of objectives for the following year. The 2010-2011 objectives include continuing the implementation of the Education Accountability Act of 1998, measuring progress toward the 2020 vision, increasing the level of student reading proficiency, developing a strategy for increased utility of technology in instruction, examining the performance of students to achieve at the highest level, and fulfilling responsibilities outlines in the General Appropriations Act.
