This report presents the findings and recommendations of the Task Force to Strengthen the Health and Promote the Environment of South Carolina (SHaPE SC or task force). The results of the task force’s evaluation include two key types of recommendations: (1.)
cross-cutting and (2.) service-specific. SHaPE SC identified nine major cross-cutting and 19 service-specific recommendations for actions to address existing critical challenges to the provision of health and environmental services provided by state government in South Carolina.
