dc.description.abstractThe goal of South Carolina’s Beach Monitoring Program is to allow the public to make informed decisions concerning recreating in waters presenting a potential for adverse health effects. To carry out this goal, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control regularly monitors ocean water quality and issues swimming advisories as necessary.
