The Public Service Commission of South Carolina (PSC) has approved new solar rates for Duke Energy Carolinas, Duke Energy Progress, and Dominion Energy South Carolina. These rates are available to consumers applying for new service on or after June 1, 2021. The rates will be available to consumers for the next five years or until the utility reaches the maximum amount of solar capacity, decided on by the PSC.
