With an annual economic impact of more than $27 billion, the automotive sector is now an integral part of the state’s economy. As a result, a wide range of companies - automakers, automotive suppliers and component manufacturing - are all based in South Carolina. BMW has produced nearly 5 million vehicles in SC and has invested over $10 billion dollars into the state.
