dc.description.abstract | SC Housing makes great strides in supporting the development of affordable housing. These reports are annually conducted to provide an economic analysis of the benefits realized by the state as a result of program investments. In
FY 2019, these independent researchers determined that for every $100 invested in our programs, we returned
$179 to the state’s economy. This represents $1.12 billion in economic impact of the agency’s investments,
supporting 7,260 jobs (full-time equivalent) and $74.8 million in state and local tax revenues generated. This year’s report includes an additional Decade in Review
section, which shows our program trends over the last ten years. It allows
us the unique opportunity to evaluate our impact and program trends
against the backdrop of an ever-changing housing industry that is heavily
impacted by shifting market conditions. | |
