This study provides the results of archaeological study at two sites situated northeast of Charleston between the Atlantic Ocean to the south and the Wando River to the north and northwest. The investigations were conducted as a result of a Memorandum of Agreement between Centex Homes, the State Historic Preservation Office, and the Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management. This work is intended to help Centex Homes comply with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act
and the regulations codified in 36CFR800.
