South Carolina Public Service Commission
SubjectPublic utilities--Law and legislation--South Carolina; Emergency management--Law and legislation--South Carolina; COVID-19 (Disease)--South Carolina--Prevention
This is a petition to waive the requirement that deferred payment plans (“DPPs”) for the payment of arrearages on regulated utility bills be limited to six months and allow utilities the ability to offer customers a longer deferred payment plan; and, also, to allow utilities an additional extension to file 2019 Annual Reports. These proposed waivers are in further response to the State of Emergency regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and the resultant increase in unemployment and other issues.
