dc.description.abstractThis study reports on an intensive archaeological survey of the 1.3 mile long proposed Santee-Cooper Darlington-Sparrow Swamp 69 kV transmission line corridor approximately five miles southeast of Timmonsville, South Carolina. The purpose of these investigations was to locate any archaeological sites which may exist in the corridor and evaluate them for their eligibility for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places.
