This study was designed to provide an intensive archaeological survey of the Bechtler Mint archaeological site, 31RF157. Although this site has been known to historians, numismatists, collectors, and the local population, the site didn't receive any professional archaeological attention until a preliminary assessment was prepared in March 1995. This study encouraged the County and Historical Society to seek the funding for a more intensive archaeological examination - represented by this document.
