Abstract
Hepatitis A can spread from person to person. It hurts the liver and can make you sick for weeks to months. Anyone can get the virus. Those at highest risk: use drugs, are homeless, have been in jail recently, are men who have sex with men, have close contact (live or have sex) with someone who is infected. If you are at risk, the hepatitis A vaccine is available at NO COST at DHEC Health Departments.
