dc.description.abstractThis plan has been developed as a road map for giving consideration to all possible realistic solutions for improving scrap tire management in South Carolina and the region. The S.C. Scrap Tire Sustainability Plan has been developed by DHEC, in conjunction with a group of concerned stakeholders, to address issues such as: Increased management costs; Limited markets for recycled tires; Tire fee revenue has not kept pace with increased number of tires generated; Tire fee revenue has not kept pace with increased number of tires generated.
