With 37 of South Carolina’s 46 counties home to automotive-related companies, the transportation equipment industry has played a central role in fueling South Carolina’s economy. Since 2000, new and expanding automotive-related companies invested $3.04 billion and created roughly 11,174 new jobs. South Carolina is committed to the ongoing success of its automotive sector.
